NHS Account Executive - Advanced Wound Care

The Company: My client specialises in the design, development, manufacture and distribution of novel, high performance advanced wound care products, surgical dressings and medical grade materials as well as medical adhesives and sutures for closing and sealing tissue. Founded in 1991   It was originally set up to offer R&D, manufacturing and Sales & Marketing capabilities providing advanced wound care products for major healthcare companies before moving to sell their products directly. 

The Position: The company are looking for someone who is someone who is driven, takes ownership of the territory and is entrepreneurial. You should have previous sales experience ideally within Wound Care, TIssue Viability or Medicines Management.

Basic salary: on application

Bonus: c£10,000

Area working: South Thames: London accounts and Kent, Surrey, Sussex,Hampshire and Berkshire

The role:

This will involve negotiating and securing contracts with senior members of the NHS namely Heads of Procurement and Directors of Finance. There will be a small amount of contacts with Tissue Viability and A&E Nurses, however, this is a very commercial role the main focus of the role is Procurement. You should be able to put together business proposals in order to overcome brand loyalty and organisational inertia.  

Key accountabilities:

  • Manage sales across the territory and to work as a member of the Regional Sales team to meet sales budgets and targets.
  • Sell the full range of wound care and wound closure products to all levels of NHS staff and proactively manage commercial and clinical issues.
  • Define account strategy working closely with the Clinical Support Nurse team.
  • Assist in preparing the annual sales plan based on territory opportunity analysis.
  • Manage all commercial aspects of managing accounts and opportunities ensuring pricing accuracy, management of cost delivery data, supply chain management working in conjunction with the Customer Service team.
  • Submit as closely as possible accurate forecasts for new business in conjunction with the Customer Service team.  To ensure all significant sales activity is captured into the CRM. 

Your experience:

Experience in the wound care market and/or experience selling to the NHS. Ideally, you will have some experience of selling to selling toTVNs, Medicines Management and Procurement, have managed/planned a large territory previously and be able to demonstrate your sales successes. The experience of negotiating and securing large contracts/tenders is essential.
