The Position: Most of the business comes from NHS prescriptions, however, retail is now an established and growing segment too. Retail sales are made up of a mixture of OTC pharmacy sales, online retailers and some high street outlets. They are now looking for an enterprising account manager to take responsibility and ownership of this side of the business.

Basic Salary: £44,000

Bonus: 20%

Area working: Commutable to Knutsford office but with UK travel

Products: Dermatology - Emollients, Suncare & Protection

Your experience:

You should have previous/current experience in sales/key account management, although not necessarily limited to healthcare. At interview you should be able to provide specific examples of achievements from previous roles. Most of the business comes from NHS prescriptions. However, retail is now an established and growing segment too. Retail sales are made up of a mixture of OTC pharmacy sales, online retailers and some high street outlets. We are now looking for an enterprising account manager to take responsibility and ownership of this side of the business.

The role:

This is a national role and target accounts will include existing wholesalers, existing and new online and high street retailers (Maintain and grow business with Key Accounts such as John Lewis, Ocado, Alliance, AAH, Phoenix, Amazon etc) Main target customers will be buyers and procurement managers. The role will involve building deeper relationships and developing new opportunities with existing customers as well as exploring new opportunities for growth. 

Specific activities will include:

  • Regular meetings with key customers
  • Regular customer training sessions
  • Activity online, such as booking promotions, maintenance of listings, enriching content
  • Agreeing promotions and tracking impact of and reporting on promotional activity
  • Meeting with new potential customers
  • Maintaining relationships and addressing any issues with stock management 
  • Dealing with customer queries
  • Analysing sales data and identifying trends and patterns
  • Close collaboration with Marketing
  • This is a National role and occasional overnight stays will be required
