Territory Manager - Surgical Gynae

£40,000 - £50,000 + 40% bonus

Job Description

The Company:  This organisation is a market leader in the development, production, and marketing of medical devices used to advance women’s health care and minimally invasive surgery.Their products were sold in the UK by distributors for a number of years, but recently moved to a direct operation which has been going from strength to strength. 

The Position: An opportunity has now arisen for a dynamic and successful surgical sales rep to join their team covering the Yorkshire and Humberside.

Basic Salary:  £c40,000 - £50,000

Bonus  40% of basic salary

Area Working: Yorkshire & Humberside
Products: Women's Health Surgical products (Catheter sets, Uterine positioning, Colposcopes, Retractors & Gynae/Colorectal Kits)

Your experience:

You will be an experienced surgical sales rep with a minimum of 3 to 5 years' medical sales experience. Previous gynae or female health experience would be advantageous. You will be capable of running your territory autonomously and have a creative a pro-active approach to the job. You will be passionate, dynamic and positive with  can-do attitude which will allow you to grow and develop in the company. 

The role:

The purpose of this role is to effectively and efficiently increase volume and market share through sales of the device portfolio of products. It is essential that good customer relationships are built and maintained, and that the territory is well segmented, and well covered.

High levels of integrity and self-motivation are required to do this role, coupled with the requirement for planning skills and absolute accountability.

Key Accountabilities Include: 

  • Achievement of sales targets relative to the portfolio
  • Deliverance of non sales objectives
  • Presenting products and services to both Clinical and Non-Clinical stakeholders
  • The ability to work within the NHS and Private Sector 
  • Knowledge and understanding of the NHS and its revenue streams along with its 3rd party supply chains
  • Education of customers on the features and benefits of each product, relative to their requirements
  • Effective territory planning at customer and account level, along with segmentation of the business
  • A clear understanding of the size of opportunity via business planning tools and market analysis
  • Promotional activity at local, regional and national exhibitions and sponsorship opportunities
  • Knowledge of the Theatre suite and its applicable regulations
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adjust communication style to suit the audience and gain buy in.
  • Work with the Clinical Support person and Marketing team to ensure support is delivered where applicable
  • Follow all  guidelines and Company Policies ensuring a professional manner and appearance at all times
