The position: As part of their strategic growth plan, they are now looking to recruit a dynamic and talented Business Development Manager to successfully maintain and grow their business in the Northern territory. Basic salary: £30,000 - £48,000 (dependent on experience)

Bonus: c£10,000

Area working: North of the M62 up to and including Scotland

Products: Bariatric Pressure Care Beds, Mattresses and Cushions

Your experience:

My client is open to the experience they will consider to fill this role as drive, work ethic and personality is more important.  If you have any pressure care, aids to daily living or moving and handling sales experience that would be a real advantage, but other medical sales experience (ideally hospital based) will be considered as will graduates as long as yo have gained commercial sales experience in some capacity and have thoroughly researched the role. 

The role:

Selling/demonstrating Bariatric Pressure Area Care equipment and related chairs/ cushions primarily within the Acute sector - however there will also be a small amount of contact with the community and care home sectors.

Your duties will include:

  • Customer service / acquisition of new customers. 
  • Planning, executing and monitoring of all measures necessary to guarantee to achieve budget.
  • This encompasses in particular:- Customer care for (managerial) stakeholders, clinical staff (Tissue Viability Nurses, Infection Control, District Nurses) and hospital administration with the goal of achieving qualitative and sales-oriented consultation.
  • Organising and conducting training, ward/district nurse participation and workshop facilitation.
  • Conducting price negotiations and contractual preparation within the limits of in-house guidelines, up to contract conclusion.
  • Coordination of the distribution and logistics of products. (Conditionals, Deposits, Kits …) with the support of the related manager.
  • Controlling all the resources and materials of his related sales area. Optimisation of the resources (demo equipment)- Regular reporting to Sales Managers, on the evolution of the sales, and adaptation to the circumstances of the market.
