Summary: My client was founded in 1991 and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and has quickly become a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical devices worldwide. They have three well-established business segments: Patient Monitoring and Life Support Products, In-Vitro Diagnostic Products and Medical Imaging Systems. Healthcare facilities equipped with their products can be found in over 190 countries and regions. The company has a global R&D network with research centres in the US, Europe and China. Approximately 10% of total revenue has been consistently re-invested into R&D each year. An average of eight new products has annually been introduced to the market over the past seven years.

The role: This role is for a qualified ITU/Theatre Nurse or experienced Clinical Application Specialist based along the A1 corridor. The role involves assisting the sales team with new product installations.

Your experience:

You will either be a Clinical Application Specialist with the skills and personality required to be successful in the commercial environment or an experienced Nurse with relevant product experience in ITU/Theatre. You will have excellent presentation skills and an ability to influence the reasoning and actions of others in a positive way.  

The role:

My client is currently looking to hire a Clinical Applications Specialist to closely support the growth of their Patient Monitoring and Life Support (PMLS) business. You will work closely with the Sales Representative within the area and you will support the sales process by demonstrating medical devices, helping at the installation phase and train customers.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Work with the Sales Representative to generate profitable sales of PMLS devices.
  • Present and demonstrate key products as determined by the business area objectives.
  • Arrange, manage and implement product demonstrations, clinical evaluations and installations. Overall you will be the product expert, in terms of teaching and presentations.
  • Delivery of all pre- and post-sales product training and education. Provide training, education and in servicing for clinical staff within the target accounts.
  • Establish strong relationships with targeted customer base.
  • Identify opportunities for business expansion.
  • Assist marketing in designing programs to introduce and promote new products and services that the company intends to bring to the market.
  • Analyze programs on a regular basis and suggest ways to improve their efficacy and overall success.
  • Interpret data and reports on market conditions and communicate information on market and competition to the marketing team.
  • Keep clinical, technical and market knowledge up to date.
  • Participate on Congress (national and regional).
