The position: The Distal Extremity Sales Specialist is responsible for achieving the company's objectives for growth in sales, marginal income, profit and market share by managing all sales activities.

Your experience:
Ideally you will have orthopaedics sales experience and trauma experience would be a distinct advantage. You will also be considered if you have a strong sales record in another technical area. You must have a good knowledge of the human anatomy and of (orthopaedic) surgical procedures. You will be dynamic, credible, hard-working, professional, and possess a strong work ethic and a high level of integrity, with a strong desire for success and making things happen. You will have the ability to drive portfolio sales personally and via the sales team, working in a successful and high achievement ‘can do’ culture.
The role:
This is a consultative sell, where you will be spending a great deal of time in theatre or clinics. This is a rapport-building, technical relationship sell. You will be selling to the NHS and Private hospitals. Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons/ interventional Radiologists/ Rheumatologists and Senior theatre staff are the main targeted customers. Procurement staff are also key.
Main Objective: Driving sales of the complete Distal Extremities portfolio within your designated territory, by targeting and planning activities focused around Flagship and strategic accounts. Maintain a high level of technical and clinical knowledge to continually support both internal and external customers, assisting with surgical procedures, on-going hospital staff training and support, and organising cadaveric workshops, where appropriate, to drive our focus of Innovation and Education.
