Territory Manager - Ophthalmics

Job Description

The company: They supply products for use in Ophthalmology to the NHS and private practices. Ophthalmologists use the products during procedures in the sub-specialties of cataract, corneal, refractive and vitreoretinal (VR) surgery. They are an approved supplier to the NHS and their portfolio of products covers Ophthalmology and its sub-specialties, corneal, refractive and vitreoretinal surgery. They offer single-use ophthalmic surgical instruments, bespoke procedure packs, ophthalmic gases, excimer lasers, patient beds, corneal transplant products. They are official distributors for world famous ophthalmic brands.The company is recognised for its outstanding customer service, extensive product range and exceptional after sales care. Basic salary: £35,000 - £45,000

Bonus: £10k OTE with potential for another £10k for over achievement.

Area working: East and West Midlands

Products: Single-use, reusable and titanium micro-surgical instruments for use in ophthalmology. IOLS, bespoke procedure packs, ophthalmic gases, excimer lasers, corneal transplant products.

The role:

This role involves remote working with regular travel to field sales, including the NHS and private sector, hospitals and clinics. You will be selling to ophthalmic surgeons, ophthalmologists and nurses. You will be responsible for developing an account management strategy and maintaining positive relationships with hospital staff at all levels, including consultant surgeons, theatre leads and their teams, pharmacy and procurement departments. Long term working relationships have to be built up and maintained. The position also involves educating and supporting the end users on the products. Part of the role will also include assisting distributor partners in gaining and increasing market share.

Your experience:

For this role you will have at least 2 years theatre sales experience. Outpatient experience would be extremely beneficial and ophthalmic surgical sales experience is the number one preference. You will also have a progressive and stable track record so job hoppers won't be considered!
