Their products prevent avoidable infections, delivering safer, easier patient care and reduce the total cost of healthcare. Their core focus is the Acute Hospital sector where they specialise in products used in the Operating Theatre, Intensive Care, Accident & Emergency and other critical acute care departments.
The role: They experienced rapid growth and are now looking for someone in the South East to continue with this and cement their pace in the UK market. The Sales Specialist is a field based commercial sales position which is accountable for maximising the sales, usage and profits of products, in line with the marketing strategy, to healthcare professionals within your territory. You should be commercially minded and adept at working autonomously in order to maximise business throughout the key Health Trusts in your region.

For this role you must have experience in the medical sales industry and knowledge of the acute sector. Ideally you will have experience in surgical or consumable sales. You will have the ability to manage a portfolio of products and understand the NHS procurement system. You will need to be comfortable working in and out of theatre and approaching clinicians. You should have a commercial approach and be able to work autonomously. Any existing contacts within theatre, ICU, infection control or vascular access will be highly beneficial. You should be self-motivated, highly driven, very ambitious and show a great willing to learn on the job.
You will be responsible for selling to key clinicians within theatre, vascular access, ITU, infection control and tissue viability as well as negotiating and securing business with procurement. You will be in charge of managing a diverse product portfolio and helping the company with its continued and rapid growth in the UK market.
Other responsibilities include:
·To deliver profitable growth in sales of products against specific objectives and within the given time frames.
·To maximise sales within hospitals already using products and to gain new hospital accounts in both the public and private healthcare sectors.
·To establish an on-going relationship with customers who are responsible for the selection, on-going use and purchasing of products.
·Developing and nurturing relationships with key opinion leaders and other local influencers to promote products in line with the company strategy and industry guidelines.
·To maintain a high level of clinical knowledge of both company and competitor products.
·Deliver exceptional clinical product training to active accounts in a timely and professional manner.
·To produce, maintain and implement detailed business plans for all accounts in order to meet or exceed sales and profit objectives.
Car / Allowance - £620 per month
Pension: 5% contribution
23 days holiday (Rising by 1 day per service year, up to maximum of 25 days).
Subsistence Allowance of £6.00 per day
