Job Description

The Company: Our client is a leading supplier of medical and surgical devices with a reputation for delivering high-quality products and excellence in customer service, helping healthcare professionals offer best practice solutions to their patients.

The Position: Working with a newly launched cannula and IV access products this is an exciting opportunity to work the territory autonomously and be responsible for all sales within your region. You should have ITU/Theatre sales experience, be driven and dynamic and have the drive and confidence to manage a diverse product portfolio.

Basic salary: Competitive

Bonus: £15,000

Area working: North West - Merseyside, Wirral and North Wales, Manchester Hospitals, Blackburn, Preston Blackpool Lancaster and Carlisle 

Products: Needle-free device range, anti-reflux/occlusion device, infection prevention product, associated procedure packs, plus newly-launched cannula range

The role:

You will be responsible for achievement of area sales targets and development of all major accounts on the territory. You will need to be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the NHS environment, hospital buying process, tender process and NHS hierarchy. You will be selling the range of critical care products to a wide range of customers and departments which include Procurement, Wards, Critical Care, Infection Control, Clinical Governance, Emergency Unit, IV Nursing Teams, Anaesthetics, Theatres, Maternity, Day Surgery Unit, Special Care Baby Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Practice Development Team, OPAT Teams. The majority of your time will be spent selling to NHS Hospitals.

Your experience:

The successful candidate will be an experienced medical device sales representative preferably with experience and a proven track record. Familiarity with ICU and IV/anaesthetics is an advantage, and you must have existing relationships and experience within the territory. You should have an in-depth understanding of the NHS, the promotion of medical products and the procurement process. Experience of selling into key areas of the hospital ITU/Theatres/Procurement is necessary, and any experience of managing contracts and tenders is ideal.
