Sales Manager, Surgical

Job Description

The Company: For 50 years my client has been a leading supplier of medical, diagnostic and therapeutic equipment throughout Ireland and the UK. Currently employing highly motivated people in sales, education and training, technical support and administration they are committed to excellence and customer satisfaction by investing in continued improvement and development of innovating services for healthcare.

The Position: They are now looking for an experienced surgical sales manager to manage their sales team but also have some BDM responsibility in the key accounts across the South of the country.

Basic salary: to £60,000

Area working: Birmingham south, to be based within 50 miles of London

Products: Cardiothoracic and some neuro and urology/general surgery instrumentation

Your experience:

  • You will have previous experience in sales management is a pre-requisite as is managing a sales team. 
  • You must  have surgical sales experience and be comfortable with selling very high value products.
  • Good educational background, graduate calibre or relevant clinical qualification.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Proven Field based experience in medical sales or relevant clinical/technical field based experience and track record of achievement of targets.

The role:

The Sales Manager will lead and develop the Surgical Sales team for GB. They will have responsibility for the development and performance of all surgical sales activities. They will manage and direct the sales team and provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with the company vision and values. There is a requirement to establish plans and strategies, which will expand the customer base. This role reports to the Sales Director.They will also be responsible for the Sales target within their Territory, including managing customer relationships, addressing and meeting customer requirements, responding rapidly to Sales issues within the Southern UK Territory, providing accurate sales funnel forecasting and striving to hit set sales targets.
