The Position: They are now looking for an experienced  Sales Development Manager to drive sales of their spinal products in Southern England.

Basic salary: Negotiable

Bonus: £50,000 (on target)

Area working: South West, South Central, London & South East 

Products: Spinal implants 

Your experience:

  • Successful sales targets achieved in the last 5+ years. Ideally within orthopaedic or spinal sales although other surgical based medtech products will also be considered. 
  • Demonstrated repeated success in converting significant competitor business
  • Demonstration of high performance in current role
  • Ability to analyse marketplace in order to ensure focus on and acquisition of new business
  • Problem solving and negotiation skills to deliver positive outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills –written, spoken and presentation ability
  • Excellent commercial understanding
  • Influencing and business networking skills – understands partners requirements, and develop strategies that drives the adoption of technologies and become a trusted business adviser providing solutions
  • Strong record of coaching and driving an increase in performance through non-direct reports
  • Ability to build trust with customers by asking probing questions that helps the customer achieve their objectives, acting in a consultative manner
  • Networking – dedicated in business situations; expands network continually; comfortable in meeting new people and stimulating conversation

The role:

Responsibilities:

  • To drive regional sales growth in competitor accounts in line with the marketing strategy as agreed with the Sales Management team.
  • Develop new business win opportunities (competitive acquisition plans, business development or market expansion) collaborating with the Regional Sales Managers and Sales Specialists in target accounts
  • Co-ordinate and drive the execution of the new business win with the UK Sales Team, Regional and UK Marketing teams and other relevant functional areas
  • Leads the implementation plan for the acquired new business win and co-ordinates the activity across the organisation
  • Coach and support the Regional Team’s Sales Team with focused activities to drive the regional performance.
  • Lead on the introduction of new product innovations in focus regional opportunities
  • Establish and develop strong partnerships with key opinion leaders
  • Continually develops a pipeline of potential new business wins
  • Build strong networks and positive relationships that enable the identification of mutually beneficial opportunities to ensure growth
  • Present brand value propositions and beneficial customer solutions to positively influence buying behaviours
