Territory Manager - Structural Heart

Job Description

The Company: We’re looking for an individual to join our clients' sales team, who has experience working within Medical Devices ideally within the Cardiac Cath Lab field, and who will champion the development and deployment of all elements of the Structural Heart/TAVI platform. He or she will be  working closely with internal and external parties to include and optimally position the relevant products in the portfolio. 

The Position:  Managing accounts within an assigned region in a professional pro-active manner. Adopting a consultative approach with internal and external customers. The role involves you building strong ethical business relationships with the customer ensuring increased usage of products and secure new business within the market place.

Basic Salary: Negotiable

Bonus: 35% (potential to double basic)

Area working: London & South Central. The territory includes: Guys & St Thomas', Brighton, St Georges, Kings, Great Ormond St Hospital, Oxford.

Products: Transcatheter Aortic Valves and Transcatheter Pulmonic Valves

Your experience:

You will be an experienced surgical (or cath lab based) sales person with a proven and stable track record, who can demonstrate sales success at interview. Ideally, you will have sold in the cardiac surgery or cardiology fields, but candidates with other surgical device will also be considered. You need to be a good communicator and relationship builder. Your relationships with Surgeons is key and this territory includes the biggest account in the country.

The role:

The successful candidate will maintain and develop the Structural Heart business (existing and new customers) in line with the Country Manager’s guidance in the territory, while meeting or exceeding financial and non-financial targets, in a way that enhances the company's reputation in the market. Working with customers to develop champions for new technology and identify opportunities for future business growth. Responsibilities will include:

  • Direct sales responsibilities for the London / South Central territory for both TAVI and TPV.
  • Identify and address all key decision makers (clinical, administrative/economic), key opinion leaders and key referrers in all accounts on the territory.
  • Build strong and lasting business relationships with key decision makers and those influential in the purchasing process.
  • Drive referrals into TAVI implanting centres (Tertiary hospitals e.g. St Georges) through building relationships with referring Cardiologists (District General Hospitals).
  • Gain entry and expand into non TAVI implanting centres (Tertiary Hospitals e.g. Kings).
  • Create a territory business plan designed to maximise sales and achievement of sales target
  • Provide technical support and training to customers (i.e. physicians, consultants).
  • Train and educate relevant hospital staff on Structural Heart products, using resources in the most effective way.
