The Position: The Distal Extremities Sales Specialist is responsible for achieving the company's objectives for growth in sales, marginal income, profit and market share by managing all sales activities in Kent.

Basic salary: £28,000 - £30,000 guaranteed commission for 12 months of 1,000 per month.

Area Working: North Thames

Product / Service: Distal Extremity portfolio e.g. Anchors

Your experience:

You will be an experienced hospital sales person with a minimum of 2 to 3 years successful sales experience preferably in a similar product range. Experience within the Distal Extremities market is preferred. You must have a good knowledge of the human anatomy and of (orthopaedic) surgical procedures. You will be dynamic, credible, hard-working, professional, and possess a strong work ethic and a high level of integrity, with a strong desire for success and making things happen. You will have the ability to drive portfolio sales personally and via the sales team, working in a successful and high achievement ‘can do’ culture. 

The role:

  • You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding your sales objectives. This will be achieved through increasing your territory results by building and maintaining strong business relationships, and by developing and implementing sales strategies.
  • You must communicate with current and new customer accounts regarding a variety of topics, including product updates, changes to product portfolio and educational programs.
  • You will be providing technical assistance and training to surgeons and operating room staff, as well as organising and running workshops on surgical techniques.
  • Other duties include attending conferences/ meetings, and developing and maintaining effective communication with people in the hospitals at different organisation levels - this is based on a professional selling approach and mutual respect.
  • At all times you must ensure a high level of customer service is provided before and after sales. You will also have market development responsibility which includes identifying key opinion leaders for key product lines and develop and monitor close professional contacts. It also encompasses identifying new product ideas and opportunities, as well as gathering all relevant market information.
