The Position: To achieve sales targets by maintaining and developing business relationships with new and existing customers.

Your experience:
You will have some experience of sales with excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, self-motivation and determination. You could be a Science (related) Graduate looking to break into the life science/ laboratory sales sector. In addition you must be well organised with the ability to manage your time to deliver on all your tasks. Previous experience within the Life Science/ laboratory field within the territory would be an advantage but is not essential.
The role:
You will be selling tailor-made product solutions for the most varied areas of use, including molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology. You will be selling into hospital laboratories, research establishments and laboratories in pharmaceutical companies. Dealing with laboratory managers, MLSOs and purchasing managers. Developing long term business relationships is a vital part of the role. You will be uncovering new business opportunities and managing existing accounts on the territory.
Key Responsibilities:
·To achieve sales targets.
·To build, develop and exploit profitable relationships with all current and potential customers within the assigned territory;
·To ensure professional standards of customer service and support at all times;
·To ensure effective journey planning and time management;
·Improve ‘face to face’ selling time by means of efficient planning and appointments;
·Gather customer intelligence and feedback to enable a proactive participation in product enhancement and new product development;
·To monitor and report changes in market trends and competitor activities;
·To organise and attend local exhibitions, and to attend national exhibitions when required;
·To maintain customer records within the territory;
·To ensure all literature, presenters and other business material is presented in a professional manner and that it is current and fit for purpose;
·Provide requests of product samples and quotations for customers;
