Regional Sales Manager - Trauma & Biologics

Job Description

The company:  This is your chance to join one of the UK's leading orthopaedic trauma companies; they design, manufacture and market orthopaedic implants and devices. My client specialises in upper and lower extremity products and continues to demonstrate rapid sales growth year on year.  

The position: This is your chance to join the management team as a Regional Sales Manager for the North, ideally living in the Birmingham, Sheffield, Liverpool triangle.

Basic salary: £55,000 - £60,000

Bonus: £15,000

Area working: Northern England - ideally based in Birmingham, Sheffield, Liverpool triangle

The role:

Under minimal supervision, you must achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team. You will design and implement a strategic business plan for the sales team that expands the company's market share, customer base and ensure its strong market presence. You will be in charge of regional recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives. It will also involve successful completion of tenders and contracts at national, regional and individual trust level and occasionally attending surgery, educating and supporting Orthopaedic Surgeons and all theatre personnel. You must maintain and develop an understanding of human anatomy, and be able to keep up to date with the technical and methodological requirements of the product portfolio.

Your experience:

You will have at least 5 years successful medical sales experience, along with experience in leadership. You should have 2 years experience of managing a sales team. You must be sales focused, but you also need the management skills to be able to develop a team of new talent and drive on salespeople. You will also have the initiative and ability to create your own marketing, education and promotions programs.
