The Position: A vacancy has now arisen for a Strategic Healthcare Manager (wound care and vascular) to cover the North. With strong project management skills you will have proven experience of working in partnership projects with the NHS.

Basic salary: £Negotiable

Bonus:  to £20,000

Area working: North Manchester, Leeds, Harrogate, North East, Scotland and Northern Ireland (ideally, you will have covered Scotland before)

Products: Wound care and vascular portfolio. 

Your experience:

With an established career in the medical device industry and experience in a similar role working in a healthcare partnership capacity, you will have strong commercial awareness with a commercial and challenging approach. Along with the ability to write business cases, project briefs and gain engagement with key stakeholders you will also have a track record of delivering innovative solutions to internal and external business groups. You will have excellent presentation, communication and project management skills and a PRINCE2 qualification is desirable.

The role:  

As a Strategic Healthcare Partner you will be instrumental in driving significant change to ultimately improve patient outcomes in areas relevant to the organisation. Partnering internal and external stakeholder groups in a niche and patient centric environment, you will act as a trusted partner in a consultative manner aligning NHS priorities to the company's objectives.You will have a number of accountabilities including:- 

  • Service re-design of existing services to improve standards of care, increase patient referrals, increase capacity and reduce waiting lists.
  • Acting on behalf of clinical customers in meetings with NHS leadership teams or individuals, to facilitate new services and introduce new ways of working including patient pathways.
  • Market development of new services in line with company expectations within identified target opportunities.
  • Initiation of joint/partnership working projects with motivated and engaged stakeholders.
  • Publication of joint working / service development project outcomes.
  • Developing strategic, efficient service development plans.
  • Form part of a wider group that develop national projects.
  • Excellence in collaboration with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of system change and health economy.
  • Identify key opinion leaders and develop them into advocates.
  • Influencing higher level NHS service managers.
