Business Development Manager - Sterilization

Job Description

The company: A global company, my client helps their customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions.

The role: The Business Development Manager is a senior sales role which has full responsibility for sales activities within a specified geographic area which includes the attainment of key financial objectives. Reporting to the Senior Commercial & Contracts Manager (UK), this position partners with multiple support function leads in the company to drive the total value proposition of my client. Focusing on customer needs the Business Development Manager builds strategic sales initiatives to drive value for our existing and new customers.

Who should apply:

  • Candidates with Business Development experience within the medical device sector (specifically with Capital Equipment &/or related services).
  • Candidates with C-Suite level negotiation experience.
  • Candidates based within the defined geographic territory, but are happy to work remotely.
     

Basic salary:  Negotiable

Bonus: 10%

Area working: Eastern England - Hertfordshire (Watford), North Thames, Anglia, Trent, Yorkshire & North East

Product / service: Hospital Sterilisation Services

Your experience:

  • You should have previous experience of working at a BDM level within Medical Equipment or Services and ideally with C-Suite level negotiation experience.
  • You should be able to develop strong track record of business development, commercial experience, operational management, relationship management, account development and retaining contracts within a demanding / complex environment. Ideally with a background in the healthcare industry.

The role:

Reporting to the Senior Commercial & Contracts Manager (UK), this position partners with multiple support function leads in the Company to drive the total value proposition. Focusing on Customer needs the Business Development Manager builds strategic sales initiatives to drive value for our existing and new Customers. The main duties include:

  • Growing revenue and profit by developing and securing new and repeat business across the region. The principal role is for the Hospital Sterilisation Services business but in future the role may also include other health related services and products.
  • Being responsible for pro-actively developing current markets and contracts and identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities.
  • Support the Senior Commercial & Contracts Manager (UK) in all Business Development related activities
  • Achieving annual goals established by the Senior Commercial & Contracts Manager (UK)
  • Working with the Senior Commercial & Contracts Manager (UK) to drive the development of national sales strategies.
  • Attends national trade shows, conferences, event functions as necessary.
  • Assists with planning and presentation of regional, divisional and national business meetings.
  • Support the Operational Regional Managers to develop sales pipelines via their IMS decontamination facilities
  • Creation and delivery of written or presentational material, attending bid presentations as appropriate.
