Who Are We Looking For?
Put simply, we are looking for anybody who has the necessary experience and skills to take a more senior managerial position. You may already be at that level and be looking for a new challenge. For example if you are a regional sales manager you may want to become a national sales manager, or if you are a BDM at a medium size company you may want to make the step up to a similar job at a larger company.
We also want to hear from candidates who are in middle management but feel they are ready to make the step up to a more senior position. You will inevitably have had the experience of performing the actual day to day job of a medical or pharmaceutical sales rep and know the environment inside out. To step up however, you will need more than just the ability to be an effective sales person. Other skills you may require include:
•People Management Skills: you will need to be able to motivate and manage others towards the common aim of hitting the sales targets. You will need to help and encourage your sales people in order to bring the best out of them.
Leadership qualities: you need to be able to make decisions and be a leader and mentor to a team.
Responsibility and ability to handle pressure: it will be your responsibility to make sure that the entire team hits the targets set, not just your own individual targets so you will need to be able to handle that pressure.
Training : You will also need the ability to pass on your own skills and experience to others to ensure the best possible results for your team, and offer the best support network possible to younger members of the team to help them develop and grow.
