Location: Midlands and North up to Scotland. Aside from trade shows etc., you can plan your own diary 

Products: Whole product portfolio - predominantly focusing on pre-hospital products, so ambulance services retaining the business and growing into trusts/ambulance services they're not already working with. Pre-hospital defibrillation/monitoring systems and automatic CPR, ventilation and suction, blood and IV fluid warming solutions

You will be joining an innovative medical device company supporting frontline clinicians with advanced, reliable, and intelligent solutions. Its products are used by emergency services and healthcare professionals across the UK and beyond. They are expanding its presence and product portfolio and are looking for a commercially minded and clinically aware Business Development Manager to help drive its next phase of growth.

What you’ll be doing:

This role is suited to a high-performing sales and business development professional with experience in the medical device or healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will have a clinical understanding of the customer base, a strategic mindset, and a strong drive to grow revenue through existing and new accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to expand the customer base and drive adoption of our medical devices.
  • Build lasting relationships with key decision-makers in NHS Trusts, ambulance services, private providers, and distributors.
  • Understand healthcare data trends and identify opportunities where data-driven insights, advanced analytics, and machine learning models can deliver measurable value to customers.
  • Promote and sell the full breadth of our product portfolio, including hardware, software, and analytics solutions, ensuring integrated offerings are positioned effectively.
  • Work alongside our clinical education and product teams to ensure alignment between customer needs and product features.
  • Deliver impactful sales presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Lead procurement and tender submissions from end-to-end.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build awareness and engagement.
  • Provide regular feedback to R&D and leadership on market trends, clinical feedback, and competitor activity.
  • Manage forecasting, pipeline development, and CRM reporting accurately and regularly.
  • Champion our training and support programs to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.

Here’s what you need:

  • Proven track record in sales or business development within medical devices or healthcare services.
  • Strong clinical or technical understanding of medical devices (ECG interpretation knowledge desirable).
  • Someone with a resus officer/paramedic/clinical background who is commercially savvy, or someone who is currently working in the medical sales sector.
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Results-driven with a focus on building sustainable growth.
  • Strong understanding of NHS procurement processes and frameworks.
  • Ability to travel extensively across the UK and occasionally internationally.

Salary: £70,000

Bonus: Annual bonus based on individual and company performance
