Product: An innovative range of radiopaque injectable osteoconductive and drug-eluting bioceramic products that have a proven ability to heal defects by remodeling to host bone in six to twelve months

Who you’ll be working for:

This organisation develops and commercialises innovative injectable bio-ceramic bone graft substitutes, which remodel to the patient’s own bone, whilst having the additional benefits of a drug eluting capability. Their bone graft substitutes are based on their patented technology platform. They are continuing to expand in Europe and North America, with an extensive medical program including clinical trials and an update of their patient registry on the agenda. They are now looking for a Sales Manager to join their team!

What you’ll enjoy:

  • Growing company, expanding head count and putting in new layer of management to facilitate this, so plenty of room to grow in the business.
  • Niche product, with lots of clinical evidence to back it up and fully CE marked. Only one other competitor in the market.
  • Although it’s an orthopaedic sales role which will require time supporting customers in theatre, unlike selling orthopaedic metal work, you don’t need to be in theatre with customers all the time. With the help of a Clinical Specialist, the aim is to train and educate, consultants and theatre nurses, so they are proficient in the use of the products by themselves.
  • You’re not just liaising with one type of orthopaedic surgeon, as the product is used for a number of indications, your customers will include orthopaedic surgeons within hip & knee, trauma, foot & ankle as well as vascular surgeons for limb salvage.
  • Excellent package and bonus scheme.
  • You'll be part of a supportive, friendly, close knit team and positive working environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • With ultimate responsibility for all business on your patch, you'll be part of an established and successful team, who are growing sales year on year.
  • The products can be used for a range of orthopaedic indications, so it will be up to you, to grow business on your territory by expanding the use of the products in existing accounts covering all the indications, as well as opening up new accounts.
  • Although the main stakeholders you'll engage with will be clinical, about 20% of your time will be spent having commercial discussions with procurement.
  • Stakeholders selling to: Surgeons in a variety of orthopaedic disciplines, vascular surgeons and procurement

Here’s what you need:

  • You'll need to be an experienced orthopaedic rep, who'll be able to work autonomously, and make an impact without needing hand holding.
  • You'll know how to sell and have a demonstrable track record of success in previous orthopaedic sales roles.
  • You'll be driven and goal orientated, and as comfortable opening new doors as you are at account management.
  • The patch is the highest performing territory in Europe with a significant number of KOLs, so you’ll need the experience and gravitas to engage successfully with these customers.
  • You’ll build trust and relationships easily, with a passion for the products and improving patient outcomes.
  • You’ll need to be flexible, self-motivated and well organised.

Basic Salary: £50 to £60k

Bonus: 40% of salary (on target hitting) which is divided in 80% - Quantitative (paid quarterly) 20% - Qualitative (KPI) and 20% of all over target sales is paid year end.
