Its commitment to excellence, respect for diverse perspectives, belief in empowering employees and passion for career growth creates a uniquely rewarding workplace. This is more than just a job, it’s a place where you will grow and make a real impact by delivering essential surgical tools that empower surgeons to better serve their patients. Join and be part of a team that is transforming patient lives.
What you’ll enjoy:
- You’ll be selling a product which is the gold standard surgical haemostat in the market.
- The key buying decision makers are surgeons, so less time dealing with procurement!
- The company is growing year on year with growth of 30% in 2024 and globally experiencing double digit growth.
- Lots of clinical data to support use of the product in improving patient outcomes.
- A non-hierarchical structure, where everyone is valued and everyone has a voice. Supportive and collaborative working environment.
- Excellent package!
- An autonomous working culture.
What you’ll be doing:
- This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a business which is continuing to grow in the UK. As a Key Account Manager with this organisation, you’ll be selling the gold standard surgical haemostat. This very well-established product has no direct competitors and is designed to effectively stop bleeding and seal surgical sites during a wide range of surgical procedures. In this role, you will work primarily with surgeons across multiple specialties including neurosurgery, gynaecology, urology, cardiac, thoracic, general, liver and spine surgery, with a particular focus on tumour resection. The product is also used in minimally invasive procedures.
- You’ll need to be happy spending up to four days in the field, alongside surgeons in the OR to drive increased product usage in existing accounts whilst developing new opportunities. As the product is already available on NHS Supply Chain and stocked in most NHS trusts throughout the UK, your focus will largely be on increasing adoption rather than securing initial listings.
- Beyond your theatre presence, you will be responsible for organising hospital meetings, conducting product demonstrations and delivering comprehensive training sessions. With extensive clinical data supporting the efficacy of the product, you will use clinical papers to support sales and drive usage. This position offers a unique opportunity, as purchasing decisions are predominantly made by surgeons themselves, meaning you'll spend less time with procurement departments and more time building valuable clinical relationships that drive long-term product adoption and improve surgical outcomes across your patch.
Stakeholders selling to: Surgeons in a wide range of surgical disciplines, pharmacists, procurement
Here’s what you need:
- You’ll be an experienced Medical Sales Representative with a minimum of 4-5 years of proven surgical sales experience. An educational background in science would be helpful, although this isn’t essential as long as you’re able to understand and communicate clinical information and effectively utilise scientific papers to support sales.
- You must be highly self-motivated and driven—someone who genuinely enjoys engaging with surgeons and is passionate about improving clinical outcomes for patients. We're looking for an individual with an entrepreneurial mindset who can identify opportunities and drive product adoption. You should thrive in an autonomous working environment while maintaining a data-driven approach to sales strategy and execution. Strong teamwork skills are essential, as is the ability to build lasting relationships with surgical teams across multiple specialties.
- Your career history should demonstrate stability and progression, with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, growing territories, and successfully developing both new and existing accounts. The right person for this role combines technical expertise with commercial acumen, possesses excellent communication and presentation skills, and has a genuine commitment to supporting surgeons in improving patient outcomes.
