Products:  Orthopaedic portfolio - circular fixation, fracture management, foot & ankle and limb lengthening

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will be selling a range of orthopaedic products, case planning software and 3d printed implants.
  • The majority of the time will be spent covering elective cases (60-70%) with the remaining time spent covering trauma.
  • The trauma cases when they do occur, are very specialised, highly complex cases, so this is not a typical orthopaedic trauma role.
  • Case coverage will also be supported by a Clinical Specialist on your patch.
  • As well as covering cases in theatre, you will also liaise with clinicians and nursing staff in fracture clinics and limb deformity clinics.
  • You will be selling to stakeholders such as orthopaedic surgeons, theatre teams, specialist nurses in clinics and procurement.
  • The stakeholders you'll be dealing with will only be found in the NHS as these procedures are not done privately.
  • The patients undergoing these procedures often have very long treatment pathways, so as part of your role you will spend time in follow clinics seeing the patients pre- and post-surgery.

Here’s what you need:

  • You should have a previous demonstrable track record of success selling products to surgeons in the OR setting.
  • You should have the ability to pick up technical information quickly as this is a complex sell, which includes not only the products but also surgical planning software.
  • Orthopaedic sales (or clinical) experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • You’ll have integrity, be solutions orientated and have a passion for improving patient outcomes.

Basic Salary:  to c£50,000 dependent on experience. 

Bonus:  £25k OT (pays out at 85%) and is paid monthly. Also pay commission of 10% at year-end  for everything over target. 

Car policy:  £800pm car allowance
