What you’ll be doing:
As Clinical Specialist / Account Manager, you will support existing customers across Yorkshire and the North East while contributing to the continued commercial development of the territory.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing clinical and technical support during surgical procedures
- Supporting surgeons and theatre teams with the effective use of the product portfolio
- Developing a strong understanding of relevant procedures, anatomy and products
- Building and maintaining relationships with orthopaedic consultants, theatre teams, clinical staff and procurement
- Supporting product demonstrations and trials
- Developing new surgeon and customer relationships
- Identifying opportunities within existing accounts
- Supporting territory growth and commercial planning
- Managing consignment stock where required
- Maintaining awareness of competitor activity and market developments
- Progressively taking greater ownership of accounts as your experience develops
The role offers the opportunity to develop from a clinically focused position into one with increasing account management and commercial responsibility.
Here’s what you need:
We are looking for someone who is already comfortable within the operating theatre environment and is committed to developing a long-term career within orthopaedic medical devices.
Ideally, you will have:
- Approximately one year or more of experience in orthopaedic sales or clinical support
- Experience supporting surgical procedures within an operating theatre
- A good understanding of anatomy and surgical procedures
- The confidence to communicate effectively with surgeons and wider clinical teams
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills
- A genuine interest in developing the commercial side of your role
- The initiative and independence to manage your own development and responsibilities
- A willingness to learn detailed technical and product information
- The ambition to progress towards greater account and territory ownership
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the territory
You may currently be working as a Sales Associate, Clinical Support Specialist, Clinical Specialist, Associate Territory Manager, Junior Territory Manager or in a developing Account Manager position.
Exceptional candidates coming directly from a theatre environment may also be considered where they can demonstrate strong anatomy and physiology knowledge, clear commercial potential and a genuine commitment to a career in medical device sales.
Basic Salary: £30,000 - £43,000
Bonus: Amount TBC
