Location: Ideally London or Birmingham / Midlands. The new office is expected to be in Leatherhead, and the person would need some office presence, anticipated around once every two weeks. The role covers the UK & Ireland sales teams.

Product: Surgical / hospital medical device portfolio across vascular and related procedural areas. Portfolio referenced includes peripheral / leg, neck, and cardiothoracic products. The business has some high-value products, but the role needs focus across the wider portfolio rather than only the large-value opportunities.

What you’ll be doing:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced National Sales Manager to lead the UK & Ireland commercial team for a highly successful medical device business.

Reporting into the European leadership team, you will be responsible for leading, developing and motivating a team of seven Territory Managers while driving commercial growth across the UK and Ireland.

This is a newly created leadership role offering significant influence over strategy, sales effectiveness and future business performance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing national sales team
  • Driving revenue growth and delivering commercial objectives
  • Developing sales strategy, forecasting and territory planning
  • Embedding CRM best practice and improving commercial discipline
  • Identifying new business opportunities across NHS and private healthcare accounts
  • Supporting key customer relationships alongside the field sales team
  • Collaborating with European colleagues across sales and marketing
  • Managing budgets, forecasts and overall business performance
  • Driving growth across an established portfolio of specialist surgical products

Here’s what you need:

We are looking for an experienced medical device sales leader with a strong commercial mindset and a passion for developing high-performing teams.

You will ideally possess:

  • Proven experience managing successful medical device sales teams
  • Minimum three years' people management experience
  • At least seven years' experience within medical device sales
  • Experience selling into surgical, vascular, endovascular, cardiovascular or related hospital environments
  • Strong understanding of NHS procurement, tendering and hospital sales pathways
  • Excellent commercial planning, forecasting and analytical skills
  • Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce
  • Strong stakeholder management and coaching abilities
  • A track record of improving sales performance through structure, accountability and leadership
  • The confidence to influence experienced sales professionals while maintaining strong relationships

Salary: £100,000

Bonus: 30% performance-related bonus linked to commercial performance.
