Sales Representative - Clinical Information Software

Job Description

The Opportunity:

  • This is your chance to join a small but established company who has had year on year growth for the last 6 years.
  • They underpin one of the largest, most integrated clinical software networks in the UK covering over 2 million patients.
  • You will be working within a growing industry, for a stable company who have been established for over 25 years and are a well-known name within healthcare.
  • They are a leading supplier of clinical information systems and specialist barcode data collection systems, operating in the UK, Republic of Ireland and Australasia.
  • As a result of expanding, they are seeking an ambitious sales individual to service both prospective and existing clients with our exciting suite of products.


Basic salary: £30,000 - £42,000

Bonus: £15,000 - £20,000 (open-ended)

Area working: UK - must be Scotland based

Product: Clinical information software

The role:

  • Reporting to the Sales Director, this role will be 70% focus on prospecting and business development, and 30% account management.
  • You will be covering the UK, although you should plan your diary to maximise your time spent in areas with new accounts. Existing customers will need one or two visits per year.
  • Although you will have an established base of accounts, there are lots of opportunities to be identified.
  • You will lead the sales effort from a client facing perspective, collaborating with the Directors to meet and exceed realistic monthly sales targets and increase market share.
  • You will directly account manage top tier accounts and be responsible for ensuring proactive account management via your sales team.  
  • You will also have input regarding the creation and management of marketing materials.

Your experience:

  • You will be an experienced medical sales representative with knowledge of hospitals and how the NHS trust is put together.
  • You should be a go-getter and a self-starter and be able to generate your own leads.
  • You will have at least five years' experience in a comparable technical sales role, with experience in the auto-id industry or in the wider healthcare sector preferred.
  • You will preferably have a university-level qualification in marketing or business studies.
  • A proactive and structured approached is required to progress initial data led information and convert into qualified opportunities and ultimately, converted sales revenue.
