Our Community Work

Corporate responsibility is something we believe in very strongly at Advance, and we made the decision to support a local charity several years ago. Local charities are very close to our heart. These charities are often entirely run by volunteers, and just don’t have the funds or resources available to them that the large national charities do. They’re driven by passion and a desire to make a difference in the local community.

PawPurrs

As we’re a team of massive animal lovers with a menagerie of animals between us, we’ve chosen to support a small local animal rescue charity called PawPurrs Halfway House which covers Greater Manchester.

Manchester has a huge problem with stray, feral and unwanted cats. This has been exacerbated by the pandemic and the cost of living crisis. As well as rescuing stray cats off the street, they trap and neuter feral cats finding farm placements for them post neuter, and provide educational outreach within the local community to communicate the importance of neutering and cat welfare.

As well as donating to them and helping raise awareness of their work, we give up our time to help them on a practical level with fundraising events, helping out at the shelter and fostering for them.
