The Company: My client has been servicing the UK ophthalmic market for over 30 years. During this time they have introduced many revolutionary innovations such as the phaco and vitrectomy systems in the 1980s. With the advent of injectable intra-ocular lenses (IOL) in the late 1980's, They have grown to become the largest independent supplier of ophthalmic surgical and diagnostic products in the UK market.
The Position: This is a sales role dedicated to the Eastern region. You should have good work ethic and a drive to succeed as well as previous Diagnostic or Capital Equipment sales experience

Products: RetCam Paediatric Imaging Systems, image management and telemedicine solutions to the ophthalmic community, Ultrasound - Retina and Corneal Diagnostics
You should have previous experience of selling capital equipment ideally within the Diagnostic or Medical market place. Alternatively anyone with Optometry experience looking to move to a more secondary care based role will also be consodered. The right candidate needs to be technically minded for a technical sell, this may have been demonstrated in a prior role or university degree. Above all, the right candidate will be personable and excellent at developing relationships quickly.
Approximately 90% of this role will involve dealing in clinics with ophthalmologists. This is a technical sell that requires the ability to deal with technical information as well as building up strong relationships.
