Field Technical Support - Orthopaedics

Job Description

The opportunity: This is your chance to join one of the UK's leading orthopaedic trauma companies; they design, manufacture and market orthopaedic implants and devices. My client specialises in upper and lower extremity products and continues to demonstrate rapid sales growth year on year. 

The position: You will be providing training support to Orthopaedic surgeons, operating theatre staff, procurement departments and hospital management within the NHS and the private sector The role will require extensive UK and some international travel.

Basic salary: c£25,000

Area working: East and West Midlands - based around Warwick

Your experience:

You must have a basic understanding of anatomy and physiology and the ability to work autonomously as part of a team. It is essential you have excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as good time management. You will have the aptitude for self-directed learning and the ability to work to set KPI's. Any experience of working in theatre or orthopaedics would be a distinct advantage. Having a working knowledge of the NHS will also benefit your application, as would previous medical industry experience. You should have the ability to work in a flexible nature to support business requirements across the South of the UK if necessary. 

The role:

You will report to the UK Regional Sales Manager and will be working closely with the Area Managers on a daily basis. Your duties will include:

  • Case covering including advising on the application of the product portfolio.
  • Providing guidance to assist with clinical decisions to both new and existing customers.
  • Training of theatre staff on the products.
  • Inventory management.
  • Keeping up to date CRM records.
  • Understanding and adherence to hospital and theatre policies.
  • Attending regional symposiums and representing the brand.
  • Audits.
