Job Description

The Company: This organisation provides bone anchored hearing solutions for patients who cannot wear conventional hearing aids. They have more than a century of experience in audiology, as well as decades of pioneering experience in hearing implant technology. With a head office based in Sweden they have been in the UK market for several years, and within this short space of time have grown year on year. Due to their innovative technologies and their philosophy of "putting people first" they now hold the largest share of the UK market. 

The Position: As a result of their strong market position, they are now looking for a Marketing Executive based in Scotland to join their UK team.

Basic salary: c£30,000

Benefits: pension, laptop, phone, expenses

Area working: Hamilton – occasional UK-wide travel required (approx. 20 days per annum)

Products: Cochlear implant for patients who are unable to wear conventional hearing aids and bone anchored hearing aid. 

Your experience:

You must be a graduate with 2 years of Marketing experience in business to business markets or preferable medical device marketing.  In additional you should be able to demonstrate attention to detail, a high level organisational and multi-tasking skills, project management experience, product launch experience, business related computer skills including Microsoft Office and experience with social media marketing and advantage Facebook/YouTube/LinkedIn etc. Ideally you will have a solid understanding of the UK healthcare market, including trends, technologies, products and competitors. Experience in editing videos would also be advantageous. 

The role:

You will provide dedicated marketing support for implantable audiology products, supporting the delivery of the UK OM Business unit sales objectives and head office marketing team requirements.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  1. Production of dedicated marketing tools and materials  for the UK market and sales team to support and enable growth of the UK business. 
  2. Support sales team in the creation of UK patient and clinician testimonials (written and video) for web and sales team usage both 
  3. Creation of UK material and UK focused Website/Facebook/LinkedIn/YouTube interface and content
  4. With Sales and Marketing Director and Sales Team, develop UK new product launch plans including Launch meetings, mail shots and events 
  5. Gathering information from UK sales team and keep an updated customer database 
  6. Support the adaption to the market of UK product launch materials. 
  7. With S & M Director support and coordinate UK educational meetings 
  8. Maintain and distribute to CI and BA team a accurate literature/marketing order forms 
  9. Provide a UK English proof reading service to European Head Office
  10. Coordination with events manager of dedicated OM meetings and industry meetings and exhibitions 
  11. Coordinate with field team attending local exhibitions on equipment needed 
  12. Gain deep insight in the UK BA and CI market, also monitoring of competitor marketing activity 
  13. Attendance at exhibitions and all educational events. 
  14. Assist the organization  attendance and support of end user/patents events CI & BA.
