The Company: This organisation is a leading global provider of products and systems which contribute to quality enhancement and efficiency within healthcare and life sciences.  With more than 10 000 employees world wide and direct operations in more than 40 countries, they have continued to grow their business year on year and through a process of acquisition now own a wide range of well known brands which provide solutions for a variety of healthcare settings including patient-monitoring, ventilation, OR furniture, anaesthesia and disinfection. 

The Position: A vacancy for a strategic account manager has now become available on their team to work across two of their product ranges. Based anywhere from Birmingham south you will use your strategic selling skills to develop business by engaging with senior NHS leadership

Basic Salary: £48,000 - £55,000 (dependent on experience)

Bonus: 20%

Area working:  Southern UK from Birmingham 

Products: Surgical work flow and decontamination systems

The role:

You will be responsible for developing and driving long term business relationships and engagement with the senior leadership teams (C Suite) within UK NHS and Irish Health Service Executive. The role will be responsible for developing and delivering the appropriate commercial strategies and value propositions that are tailored to the individual accounts to produce sales and profitable growth.

You will work flexibly with customers to identify and develop real solutions to customer problems and needs You will implement and lead high level discussions, and be responsible for cross functional selling of the full company offer including capital sales, services, consumables & solutions. The primary objective is to grow the top line sales at the senior leader level of the NHS, and to facilitate the securing of new business opportunities through the relationships developed.

Your experience:

  • You will have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the medical sales environment with broad commercial and sales experience gained at a senior level, with a solid understanding of products and services within the healthcare sector.
  • You will have had significant exposure to NHS leadership with strong existing relationships within this sector particularly within the Finance/CEO functions and have demonstrable experience in being able to quickly develop an understanding of new operations and processes and interpreting large policy documents efficiently and developing succinct summary documents.
  • You must be educated to a minimum of A level standard or equivalent. Degree in a relevant subject such as a science, biomedical/biological science or engineering subject would be advantageous.
