Basic salary: Competitive

Area working: Commutable to National Spinal Injuries Centre Stoke Mandeville, Buckinghamshire

Products: Continence Care - Bladder and Bowel

The role:

You will be joining a very experienced NHS team in providing a specialist bladder and bowel nursing service. This involves providing expert clinical and psychological support to patients/ carers with bladder and bowel problems following spinal cord injury. You will be tasked with supporting, developing and promoting the availability of the service to maximise appropriate professional and patient referral. The position will also include delivering care, communicating effectively and providing feedback to patients. You will need to ensure collaborative working between different stakeholders e.g. acute and community health care teams. Part of the role will also involve developing and maintaining effective working relationships with health care professionals across the region, as well as delivering educational support to fellow healthcare professionals.

Your experience:

You will be a registered nurse with experience of working within Bladder and Bowel speciality. You should have some sort of teaching experience along with excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills. You should have experience of negotiating at a senior clinical level. You need to be able to work as an independent practitioner, be self-motivated and driven, and competent with planning and case load management. You should have a winning mindset, and be a strategic thinker who wants to build on your commercial awareness and has the confidence and courage to challenge.
