The Position: Due to an upcoming maternity cover they are looking for a Qualified CLO (Contact Lens Optician) or Qualified Optometrist with strong commercial aptitude to join their sales team as a Clinical Sales Specialist supporting their speciality lens business in hospitals on a national basis.

Area Working: UK & Ireland (not to be based Ireland or Scotland)

Products: Speciality contact lenses which are fitted in eye centres

Basic salary: Negotiable

Your experience:

You will be a Qualified CLO (Contact Lens Optician) or Qualified Optometrist. Ideally you will have some sales experience, although those with a strong commercial aptitude who are looking to develop their hospital selling skills will also be considered. You will be resilient, entrepreneurial and your excellent people skills will allow you to forge strong business relationships with your customers. 

The role:

Working on a national basis you will be responsible for a number of existing key hospital accounts with the potential to develop some additional during your tenure in the role. You will be responsible for driving the national uptake of the Speciality Lens Business achieving the annual sales and margin targets.  You will ensure first class fitting training is delivered to Hospital clients and ensuring the end user get the best possible clinical support to restore clear vision. You will work closely with Marketing and Manufacturing internally as well as Clinical, surgical and procurement staff in NHS and Private Hospital customers. You will also be responsible for training the Professional Education team on the products.
