The company: This company transforms health and care services using digital technologies and have an outstanding track record of developing disruptive products and services, one of which is; a secure browser and app-based communications channel connecting patients to services, providing them with clarity, control and choice. This product is currently being used to support and monitor patients in a number of health disciplines including musculoskeletal care pathways, chronic pain and young peoples’ mental health services. The position:  With Covid-19 fundamentally changing the way health services work, driving them to deliver care digitally rather than in person wherever possible, this has accelerated demand for their products. In order to capitalise on this demand they are now looking for a strong business development person to drive growth in sales of this digital communication software from new customer acquisitions within the NHS.

Basic salary: Negotiable 

Area Working: UK - need to be able to travel to office 

Products: Digital communications product for the management of patient pathways. 

Your experience:

You will have:

  • Track record of selling to NHS organisations
  • Track record of selling tech solutions (rather than tech devices) to the NHS
  • Experience of working in dynamic, high-growth SME environment
  • Outstanding track record of new customer acquisition in complex B2B sales
  • Outstanding track record of growing, developing, and delivering a product sales pipeline 
  • Ideally experience of  sales of digital systems
  • Clear understanding of how to grow a customer base in an emerging market
  • Ability to lead response to formal procurement processes (e.g. OJEU, NHS frameworks)
  • Ability to lead creation of winning tenders and pitches
  • Existing network of relevant NHS contacts

The role:

The key customer base will be within NHS trusts and will include CCG commissioners, clinical champions such as consultants, CIOs and COOs. The key responsibilities of the role will be:

  • To develop & deliver the Sales Strategy for new customers.
  • Guide development and delivery of marketing messages.
  • Grow new sales pipeline to consistently meet sales targets.
  • Deliver new customer sales, focussing on maximising life-time value and annual recurring revenue.
  • Market-scanning to identify threats and opportunities.
  • Inform product roadmap to sharpen competitive advantage.
