The Opportunity:

An exciting and challenging sales opportunity has arisen with a US company who have recently come into the UK pressure area care market. Unlike anything currently in use, this innovative product facilitates the early detection of pressure ulcers, allowing early intervention to prevent the sore developing and ultimately saving the NHS money.

Salary: £35,000 - £43,000

Person:

An innovative medical manufacturer are looking for a driven, determined and passionate medical sales person to sell a new product to the UK market. With a clinical background to introduce and oversee clinical evaluations, you will also have the commercial/sales skills necessary to qualify leads prior to evaluation, put together business cases and tie up the sale. You should have an understanding of how to approach a capital sell and the stages involved in this.

Role:

Unlike anything currently in use, this innovative product facilitates the early detection of pressure ulcers, allowing early intervention to prevent the sore developing and ultimately saving the NHS money. The product has been in the UK market since 2015 and has seen steady growth since it’s launch.

As one of a team of four reps, you would be looking after the South East patch dealing with both primary and secondary care. Customer contacts will include, TVNs, Directors of Nursing, Matrons, Procurement Teams, Innovation Teams, ward nurses and patient safety. You will make contact with the clinical leads, instigate evaluations and tie up the commercial aspect of the business with procurement teams. The clinical data for the product to date is extremely positive but the challenge is to change clinical practice and encourage clinical staff to take up the product.
