Graduate Business Development Specialist - Sutures/Endosurgery

Job Description

The Company:  Join a company which  is one of the world's leading providers and manufacturers of healthcare solutions today.With its constantly growing portfolio, which comprises of 5,000 different products, 95 percent of which are manufactured by the company they are involved in a diverse range of therapy/disease areas.  The aim of the role is to make sure both senior NHS clinicians and payors are aware of the value this product can offer both to patients and to the NHS budgets.

The Position:  This roles involves selling to Theatre departments focusing on the Suturing and Endosurigcal portfolio.

Basic salary:  Negotiable

Area working: South West including Hampshire (ideally you will have easy access to M5 - Weston Super Mare, Bath, Yeovil,Exeter, Southampton)

Products: Sutures and endosurgery products

The role:

We are looking for a highly driven and motivated individual to provide field based technical expertise and assistance in the protection, maintenance and development of the Suturing and ORT Endosurgical accounts, in line with company sales objectives.
 
Some of your main responsibilities will be:

  • To develop, protect and ring-fence existing suture accounts whilst always looking for that “new “ opportunity to grow sales within the portfolio.
  • To develop effective sales strategies and tactics to win new accounts, focusing on the clinical and in-theatre sell.
  • To establish technical involvement with key surgeons to provide informed knowledge of clinical data and market activity.
  • To develop and work to an agreed business development plan for delivery of sales targets and account protection.
  • To have a knowledge and understanding of account profitability, therefore supporting the sales and profit targets.
  • To assist in the trial, evaluation and conversion process of relevant products within the Suturing & Endosurgical portfolio where required, in particular major national suture evaluations & key account development.
  • To promote company products at trade exhibitions and meetings.
  • To keep abreast of developments and trends within the territory in order to supply accurate market information for consideration in forecasting and budget proposals.

Your experience:

 The successful candidate will be of graduate calibre, have some sort of commercial experience and be interested in working in (and thooughly researched) the role. 

As a second option, a Theatre Nurse (with Wound Closure experience)/ODA/ODP/Physio with extensive knowledge of anatomy, biology and physiology will be considered.
