Field Sales Specialist, Peripheral Interventional

The Position: They now need a professional and skilled sales person who is proactive and driven, with a strong clinical and commercial selling capability, to be responsible for their Peripheral Interventional product portfolio

Basic salary: Negotiable

The role:

The role will have a high clinical focus including case planning and support.  You will have full ownership for maximising sales and ensuring market penetration with the existing business across the hospital network, as well as actively pursuing new customers and developing new opportunities. As you maintain and build relationships with the customer base, you will be a product expert. Your passion for medical device sales and successful clinical outcomes will underpin your additional responsibilities. These include clinical product education and training, undertaking case planning and providing case support during procedures in the interventional lab and operating theatre. You will own the full sales lifecycle with full commercial responsibilities. You will develop lasting relationships across the customer base to include purchasing, clinicians and hospital management. You will also have involvement with the response to tender process, support local marketing activities and coordinate new product introduction. To do so, and as part of a small team, you will actively collaborate with a range of colleagues across Field Sales, Sales Support, Product Managers, Tenders and Marketing.

Your experience:

You should have previous medical sales experience.  Ideally, this will have been in the interventional radiology, cardiology or vascular surgery markets, although candidates with other technical device experience will also be considered if they have a proven track record of selling to senior clinicians.  Because the products are high-quality premium-priced products, you should have the ability to sell products on the clinical benefits and not on price, therefore a background selling high volume consumables is unlikely to be suitable for this role. My client has an ethos of high integrity and you should have a corresponding approach to fit into the company culture. Additionally, you should have the ability to work autonomously and the desire to work in a non-hierarchical company structure.
