Market Access Associate - Ostomy & Continence

Job Description

The Company: This is the world's leading supplier of intimate healthcare products and services.  For more than 50 years they have developed and marketed innovative products that make life easier for people with diseases of a personal and private nature.  They operate within three distinct areas: Ostomy Care products for people whose intestinal outlet has been rerouted through the abdominal wall; Urology and Continence Care products for people suffering from diseases of the kidneys, urinary system and male reproductive system; dressings for the treatment of chronic wounds and Skin Care products for prevention and treatment.  They market and sell their products and services globally.  They supply products to hospitals, institutions, wholesalers and retailers as well as directly to consumers (homecare).  They employ more than 7000 people and operate in 28 countries. Within the UK they have a current market share of over 40%.

The Position: The position in Market Access offers challenging tasks and close collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders in the UK and Ireland and working closely with the Global Health Economic team. As part of a learning organization, you will receive intense on-the-job training and one-on-one coaching.

The role:

As a Market Access Associate, you will be part of a highly skilled and motivated team working to obtain reimbursement and access to the UK and Irish markets for innovative Chronic Care products. You will be working to ensuring optimal pricing and reimbursement for the products based on health economic arguments and profound insight into local pricing and reimbursement mechanisms. You will manage the day to day Health Economic needs of the business in the UK and Ireland through data management of the key Value Proposition programmes, which are primarily developed for CCG's, 'Out of hospital' care environments and the evolving roles of STP's and ACO's, and operate on real-world data. You will report to Head of Market Access based in Peterborough.

Your experience:

You should have a degree in health economics and a minimum of 12 months' experience in a health economics role within Pharma/ Life Sciences. You will have strong numeric skills along with scientific/ medical knowledge and a commercial mindset. You must be able to travel within the UK and Ireland on a regular basis with some limited international travel. You should have project management skills, strong networking and relationship building skills and be proactive and dynamic. You will have the ability to independently drive projects, with a strong attention to detail and solid communication skills.
