Well we think that a good place to get the ball rolling is with dispensing some advice and insight in how to ensure that your interview performance can be maximised, thus giving you the best possible chance of securing that new role you crave.

Introduction to Interviews

Obviously, the ability to interview well is one of the most important skills to master if you wish to progress your career in the way you would like.  The short space of time spent with the interviewer is going to determine the immediate future of your career.

Interviewers are continually amazed at the number of candidates who arrive at job interviews without having sufficiently prepared, and who have only the vaguest idea of what the job entails and what the company does.  Candidates often create an impression of indifference by acting too casually.  At the opposite end of the scale, some candidates work themselves into such a state that they appear fraught and overly tense.

These traits tend to disguise inexperience at interviewing and can easily be avoided.  Get to know what is expected of you at the interview, and a few simple bits of preparation should make the whole experience a much more enjoyable one.
